EASI Instructor Certification

The EASI Instructor Certification Program consists of Eight Parts:

  1. Going through a set of On-court Drills and Off-court Exercises (must complete 90% of all assigned drills)
  2. On Court Technique Exam (90%)
  3. Match Play Exam (a record of winning at the USTA sanctioned tournament level will substitute for this exam).
  4. Coaching Principles Exam from ASEP. A score of 90 or above is required
  5. Sports First Aid Exam from ASEP. A score of 90 or above is required.
  6. EASI Instructor Exam.*
  7. On court instructor Exam (you have to spend one week on site as an assistant if you work for another club)
  8. Safety Exam (90% or higher).

"Certification Grade Levels on the EASI Exam (All other exam grades must be 90% or higher):

  1. A grade of 50-69% (open book) designates an Assistant Instructor
  2. A grade of 70-79% (open book) designates an Level I Instructor
  3. A grade of 80-89% (open book) designates an Associate Instructor
  4. A grade of 90-95% (closed book) designates a Senior Associate Instructor
  5. A grade above 95% (closed book) designates an Academy Instructor
Non EASI Students

You do not have to be an EASI Student or a future EASI instructor to take these exams and be EASI Certified; but, to do so, you must pay all fees involved and purchase all training materials needed. The cost of all exams and fees is $2,000.00 and is non refundable. If you fail any part of the exam, there will be a re-examination fee. Travel costs to EASI are separate and are your responsibility.

Being certified by any other institution will not provide any advantage in being certified as an EASI instructor. EASI does not accept any other tennis instructor certification including USPTA, PTR, USTA. USNTA.

All non EASI students must sign a nondisclosure agreement before training.
