The EASI Academy is looking for a few coaches who are interested in learning to teach at the most dynamic and advanced tennis academy in Houston. You must be the kind of personality to embrace change and advancement in your field. A bachelors or masters degree in a science will be considered an advantage.

Working at the EASI Academy, you will learn about the human energy systems, types of muscle fiber, types of neurons the brain uses for motion, how humans learn, the physics of ball trajectories, coaching styles and their effectiveness, visual processing, the scientific theory behind good technique, effective communication and you must be able to pass the EASI Certification Examination within one year. No other tennis instructor certification is acceptable such as USPTA, PTR, USTA. USNTA.

The exam is in Six Parts:

1. Going through a set of On-court Drills and Off-court Exercises.
2. Coaching Principles Exam from ASEP. A score of 90 or above is required
3. Sports First Aid Exam from ASEP. A score of 90 or above is required.
4. EASI Instructor Exam, See Table of Contents.
5. On court instructor Exam (you have to spend one week on site as an assistant if you work for another club)
6. Safety Exam.

You do not have to be an EASI Employee to take these exams and be EASI Certified; but, to do so, you must pay all fees involved and purchase all training materials needed. The cost of all exams and fees is $2,000.00 and is non refundable. If you fail any part of the exam, there will be a re-examination fee. Travel costs to EASI are separate and are your responsibility.

Being certified by any other institution will not provide any advantage in being certified as an EASI instructor.
